Default turbo satisfaction...

Things have come full circle as of this morning...

Last Fall I was going to work in my 2000 ITR and got ripped by a WRX. He had me by several car lengths right out of the hole.

Since then I have added a t3/t4, 9psi you get the picture...

This morning I met the same car and the results were not the same-this time I had him by several car lengths.

He pulled up and tried it again when I was in 2nd gear doing about 20mph-same results. I blew him away! It felt so good! I am really liking this boost thing!

Might want to edit the post and somewhere add in that you met at the track. Or simply be ready for some flames

If your not a H-T resident, and not that you even have to be, you'd be suprised how many dump $$$ into there rides for that sole reason. Some just aren't happy unless they have the biggest, fastest, strongest..... . Tis why i appreciate this forum

Seriously. Who has not screwed around on the highway everynow and then.
Everyone has their panties in a bunch over here.
So everyone with R's just drive normal speeds on ighways and public streets and dont speed at all?
If you say you dont, i bet you are lieing. Or you dont drive your R on the streets.

A stock R will beat a stock WRX, but remeber the awd will launch better but Hype R power will reel him in for a kill. If you spent money on a turbo kit to beat him then you are the worst driver I ever heard of.

Not to get off subject, but have you guys run one around a track? (not drag, but a race course) If so, how did they do in comparison? They're building a track right by me this August, and I've got a couple of friends with WRX's wanting to race. We're all stock, BTW.

Honestly Only the STi passes me up on the track. I have yet to be passed by any Subaru on track.

Its obvious I have offended some of the more righteous readers of this forum...

I boosted the car because I felt it was too slow normally aspirated and I enjoy driving it using boost daily. I guess some of you do not do such a vile and politically incorrect thing!

To all of you who responded negatively, how many of you have driven and never gone faster than the speed limit? I thought so...What is the use of having a fun car if you cannot drive it? For that matter what is the use of keeping something stock? I mod almost every vehicle I own for performance reasons. I have always gone bigger, better, faster.

As far as the WRX, I never said it was stock-by the sound of it and from what I could see from the exhaust and ride, it was far from it.

I am not trying to upset anyone, I was just having a little fun with my car. Some of you might want to give it a try!

I'd just like to add that driving at a constant, over the speed limit is still breaking the law - yes, but you are less prone for driver error and generally a bit more focused on the other things around you because there is far less to think about.

I don't think your getting much support from drag racing because you did it on a public road way where you are in fact more prone to something going terribly wrong. You sound like an intelligent person so I would even like to fancy the idea that you even thought about some of these risks just before you decided to run with this guy. It's one thing to go over the speed limit because more times than not, it is in a controlled manner, say...driving 30 in a 25 or accelerating from 55 to 70 on a free way. You will find that yes, people do speed, we all speed. But there are quite a few people in this forum who simply do not partake in street racing simply because there are just too many risks involved.

Just my point of view on the matter *shrug

Well that works fine and dandy for those that have the luxury of being a good driver

Heck yeah, spec-Delta88 races! The brakes might last 2 laps, we'd have to cap it at that. (p.s. I think the Subu would win, tires notwithstanding. Don't confuse driving at the limit with driving fast )

Yeah, err, so I didn't really have anything useful to add to this thread, I'll shut up now.

Don't street race! Not worth losing your license for.

**** happens at all possible scenarios. I personally think it's silly to pick on people who drive spiritedly on the street. I hate it when all the track ****'s single people on this forum.

street racing is just as dangerous as driving fast on a scenic route. <shrug>

Edit - not really picking on Brandon. Just happen to quote his words.

Did I sit there and preach how dangerous street racing was? na...
All I did was warn him how the ITR forum frowns upon street racing. I've been here long enough to see what goes down when a street racing post comes up.

Don't like my comment? Then don't ******* post about it. Simple as that.

I agree. For one, weather we like it or not we are all hypocrits in one way or another and 2) if you say "never" well your setting yourself up for a big let down.

Think I give a flying **** if you get started?

"Last Fall I was going to work in my 2000 ITR and got ripped by a WRX."

If you read the post, you'll see he was on his way to work. More than likely he was on the street 'racing'. Now, I'm not one to flame or tell people off about street racing because I have never done that. I for one am guilty of street racing myself, so me sitting here being a hypocrit is not my style.

"You people are retarted?" Right on buddy
