Noobie help requested, changing motor mounts on a 91 Civic Si
Sorry if this has been covered a million times, I tried searching, and didn't come up with much. My question is this: how difficult is it to change motor mounts on a 91 Civic Si? Do I need a cherry picker to hoist the engine up a bit, or can I get away just jacking it from somewhere underneath to raise it a bit? Will I need to disconnect accessories from the engine? How long (ballpark) should you expect it to take. Are there any special tools I'll need?
In short, is it a p.i.t.a? It's a friend's car, and I'd like to help him change his motor mounts to save him some money if possible.
I apologize in advance for the noobie question. Thanks for your help.

It is a pita if the engine is still in the car to change out the rear mount. The others are not so bad. I would suggest using an engine hoist if possible while changing the mounts.

It's pretty easy if you unhook the rack and drop the rear subframe. Should be a lot simpler than taking the engine all the way out.
And something underneath is probably sufficient, although not ideal.
