I was looking at hondaautoparts.com at their timing belt items. well i added yp everything u would need for the job and it came to $156.87...not 'our price' but i did the list price that is the same around where i am for the dealer prices. On prostreetonline.con they sell their timing belt kits for $183.99. how can the internet site be more than the OEM brand? is it any better product on prostreetonline? or is it better to get a true oem belt(well i mean kit, it doenst come in a kit but u can mke ur own from getting all the parts u need) from honda?

 

ProStreetOnline sells OEM Spec parts. Does that make a difference - well, I haven't heard any complaints on his products and I honestly don't know that answer.

But you're saying that his timing belt kit costs more than what you could price it for at the dealer - well damn, thats a first.

Might as well stick with the online OEM vendor, get it at 'our price', end up paying even less than what you've qouted in your post and know that you have 'genuine' OEM parts in your hand.

You have to realize though, Honda doesn't really make their own parts - so 'if' the prostreetonline t-belt kit is in fact the same product that you get at the dealership - well, you're still better off at the dealership because of the lower overall total.

 

my napa headgasket kit was more expensive then the honda hg kit (valve gasket kit, intake, exhaust, headgasket)

seemed kinda weird (and that was with cost + %10 discount.. i can get napa parts cheaper then napa employees muahaha) but still honda was cheaper.. kinda weird but i guess for some things honda is cheap for

 

the dealer gets their parts shipped in, in bulk, and they do not have to ship to you. The online seller recieves in bulk as well, but then has to ship out to lots of customers....so if it's just a few bucks off, that could be why
