i stumble on to this clock and vent thingy. its jdm it faces the right

what is the whole peice called?
is the usdm clock any different then the jdm clock?
how much is this thing worth w/ and w/o the clock?

looks like it faces the right hand side of the car so yeah its JDM and completely useless if you put it in a LHD lol

Unless it lights up a different color than white, it appears to be the same.

Seriously though, it's probably a 24 hour clock, as thats what some other countries use.

the clock lights up white. and is no different than a usdm one in how it displays the time-it is not a military/24 hr readout like some have said.

that center vent assembly is only uiseful to someone who has a rhd das for a crx in something.

i do...how much are you looking for it-mine's busted.

it IS jdm it came out a SiR and as you can see it faces the right

 

so what color does the usdm clock light up

Flourescent white.

I'm kinda confused since I haven't sat in my car (CRX, can't speak for Civic) for awhile and probably haven't looked at the clock in even longer. But if anything is angled, isn't it the whole center part of the dash/console that this mounts to. The parts that fit into it are "flat": vent/clock, radio/blockoff plate, ashtray, etc.

Most of you probably have got a stereo in your car, so you could probably compare this better. The head unit wasn't "handed", right or left, it was flat. And everyone I've seen is in the same plane as the clock, climate controls, etc. So that would mean those are all flat too.

All I see in the pic is that foam fitment strip is angled, giving the illusion of a wedge. But that clock/vent in the pictures would still sit flat, the thickness of the surface side is uniform.

 

i have one out of a right hand drive crx it works great..and it lights up white..

good point but maybe there is something for the strip to lean against making it face more in one direction. only one way to find out. maybe tomorow when I have time. or someone with a usdm one should just take a picture

 

rhd clock/vent assy's only fit in rhd dashes and likewise for the lhd counterparts. this is referring to crx's. civics interchange since tehy do not have the hvac/radio console angled towards the driver.

the jdm one lights up amber. to all those who don't know. the white one is not truely jdm. they might come out of a rhd but the sir clock from honda access lights up amber. and they sit the same in the center console.
