did compression test, healthy?
what do you think guys, just did my compression test. piston suppost to be 11:5:1 compression. here are the numbers. is the motor in good shape? thanx 98 gsr motor head and block

cyl 1- 239 psi 240 psi
cyl 2- 231 psi 231 psi
cyl 3- 240 psi 240 psi
cyl 4- 240 psi 240 psi

Different gauges read differently, just like dynos. As long as the readings are consitant between cylinders, it's okay.
You're a little low on cylinder 2, but thats the hot one, and probably to be expected. Over all it looks very good, I would be happy.

which camshafts are you using and how are they currently adjusted on the cam gears ? that will make a big difference in compression test pressure. Given that 3 cyl are similar and one slightly less I'd say you're fine.

thats what i was thinking..also valve lash makes difference in numbers i've heard

not trying to thread jack but j/w if my compression test was okay too...i dont know what compression exactly but i have wiseco 11.8:1 with a milled head...about .020 milled...so looking to be around 12:1+/-...anyways i'm using crower stage 2 cams, VL .007/.008.

the motor only had about 300-400 miles on it at the time...hoping that the rings will seal up a little bit more as i put more miles on it...what do you think?
