I tried to install a H22a from Japan into my 93 USDM H23 Prelude. I started it and it runs but it has no power and the tach only worked once intermittently. I got a code 15 which is engine output signal. I think that my problem is with the wiring between the tach and where the coil was from the H23, however the H22 has an internal coil. Can anyone please help this child? Does anyone have a schematic for the Japanese H22A w/internal coil?

The problem might be the wiring between the distributor and coil.

 

Use your H23 distrbutor & Coil

edit: oops, saw that you did that - it should be a plug & play switch....

 

I did that too and still the same.
