i have a 4th gen turboed h22 accord 4 door. i ran a 13.3 @ 107mph on a 100 shot of nitrous. but that was back in the day before i was turboed. haven't run it at the track w/ turbo.

some crazy **** is going on with it right now though. i'll post up pics in a couple of weeks when the 10-point cage is all done. fabbing up a cage from scratch is a lot of a work. the main hoop and rear half of the cage is done and we just have to finish the halo and the rest of the cage.

We've done about 600+lbs of weight reduction, but the real test will be once we weigh it. the motor is out at the machine shop atm, but the turbo stuff is ready to go. and no i'm sorry but i can't you what turbo we're running. but i will say it's capable of 750whp. it's a pretty common 10-9 second turbo but with a little twist. i'm not going to go into detail but our whp goal is 650whp which shouldn't be a problem at all.

I know of only 1 other person who comes close to what we are doing with my 4th gen, but he's got a 5th gen coupe and he's still a ways away from finishing his project. his name is (accordking) he's a good guy and has helped me out with my project, but his is just insane. mine is still streetable and he's jealous of that heh

anyways, power to the 4-doors

here's some pictures of the 10-point cage so far. as you can see, there's a lot left to do. I will post up more pics as the cage nears completion.

lol im not hating at all i would have no reason to come on

you and even accord king i seen pics of his car what's the point of doing a accord race car

the car is not running with any other Honda race cars these days if u got a race car u have to run high 8's or very low 9's to even have any fun in any race car class

i don't know why not just do it like a spfwd car way more respect keep every thing stock in the car with a car stock fuel tank no cell and all your seats in the car every thing like stock

there's no reason to having full gutted out 4door accord running 10's you cant even call any numbers yah have not done yet any how allways easier said then done

what's up with accordking car any how i been seeing the same pics for a year or two with no track times yet?

its not HATING! but if u run 10's its going to be like, so what its a race car it should do that, But if u turn it back into a real street car and make your big power and get 10's u will have something on your hands and gain respect!

its going to be nice and fun to see your car but keep it a real street car

I agree with a lot of what you said. Having a 10 second car with room for 4 is a wonderful thing. Not that I'm claiming 10's, but I do alright. A race car on the street is way more attractive than a race car at a race. It's at home on the track, just like all the other race cars.

It's not full drag car yet. It's a total street car. Having no interior sucks, and having to climb over the cage all the time, but it will be driven everyday. Because i have no other car lol. All available funds have gone into this project and i don't have any money to budget for another car. So this will still be my daily driver until i get another car. Any your thinking, well with all that power and daily driven your going to be breaking a lot of parts. Well your wrong, with a turbo that doesn't hit full boost until 5200rpm it's very very easy to not boost it. Big turbos are nice in the sense that you can easily drive the car NA w/o having to build any boost.

Yes the car is very loud and the ride is shitty, but if you want to go fast you have to make some sacrifices. I will still put the CD player back in and run the front door speakers, because i can't drive w/o music.

I agree 100%. The great thing about making an Accord fast is the sleeper factor and the suprise and respect you get for turning a family car into a street beast. But if you want an all-out drag car, a civic hatch/coupe is the way to go (for Honda's anyway). And you can call a drag car a street car all day, but no chick is gonna climb over your cage to ride in a gutted shell. And good luck with an inspection
Still, do what you want, it'll be a bad-*** either way

inspection?? I live in Minnesota, no smog laws and no inspections. and the exterior still remains completely stock, windows tinted, cage is visible but not that bad. even have the stock muffler hanging off the back of the car. not functional but it's there. it's a sleeper imo

and as for the civic drag car comment.

Doing up a hatch is just too ******* easy nowadays and they are the most common car used for honda drag. But a 4th gen accord? So much more original, i didn't want to do what everyone else has done. and they dont' weigh that much. Once you remove everything hehe.

i agree on both sides. accords aren't really race cars, but indeed a more original project. and also more of a sleeper. Can we agree that civics are the kings of swaps. so you look at a civic and expect that from it. not all the time are people going to look at an accord and expect it to be fast.
