Mixing Oil

Ive been using Amsoil in my car, but it has used about .5 quart. Can i mix mobil1 same weight oil with amsoil?

same weight should be fine.

Do you follow the 1-year oil change interval for AMSOIL? I can't speculate how detrimental half a quart of oil meant for a much shorter change interval would be... but I wouldn't chance it.

ya, i am following the 1yr schedule. I changed the oil in september; its at about 3000 miles since then,

mobil 1 has "change every year" oil too.

just don't mix real oil and synthetic oil. they don't mix the correct way. if you're gonna change your oil, go for it, just make sure it's all mobil 1 then.
