Default Does anyone know about transmissions?

I got an H22 and auto transmission for my 94 coupe. I want to keep it auto and I'm getting the level 10 kit. I was supposed to know the model number for the transmission and I didn't. The guy at the transmission place (hasn't worked on my car or even seen it yet), showed me a little book that said it had to be MP1A or M6HA and I wasn't sure. Can anyone give me a better idea for a JDM 93-94 H22 with auto?

If the transmission came mated to the H22, it is most likely an MP1A. Look on your transmission in the area around the dipstick - you should find a bar-coded label that has the model# and serial # on it - the first 4 characters are the model #. Let us know how that Level 10 kit works out.

Man, I looked and the only thing I saw had every Honda number you can think of except the transmission model number. One of them said P13 even, like the ecu for whatever reason. Maybe I was looking at the wrong thing, I don't know for sure, but it looked like that was on the transmission. Anyway, I guess I'll just take it to the transmission place since I'm off tomorrow and have them look it over.

Yes, the bar code label with the model & serial # is usually found on the transmission case right behind the grab loop for the dipstick. The bar code part is on the bottom of the label. and the model & serial # are printed "upside down" above the bar code. I have 4 MP1A automatics, and they are all that way. They also have another sticker on the top end of the case that is close to the passenger side fender - the number on that sticker for the 3 that are non-LSD is NP 13 14 , and the number on the one that is LSD is NP 13 17

It is the MP1A, thanks again. Level 10 is shipping out my PTS kit tomorrow and I'll probably get the car into the shop next Friday. Man I feel pretty stupid even asking though, the sticker with the number was right in front when you open the hood in plain sight. I was looking everywhere but the easiest place where it was.
