Default b16 dohc 1st gen head on a b18a1 ls block code 23 knock sensor?

hi,
i bought a 90 civic hatch si with a b16 dohc v tec head and b18a1 block (i believe its from an integra ls) i get code 23 ..i have searched and i keep getting the same response that the ls block doesnt have a knock sensor

i also get backfire occasionally

the computer # is 37820-pw0-000
250-317818MA

im not sure if its a p28 or a po6 the computer also has writing with permanent marker "SIR V TEC"

i didnt do the swap so i dont know what to do..ive searched but i cant get a concrete answer ....please help

Its probally a pr3 ecu obd-0 b16a or pw0

Correct the LS block does not have a knock sensor but the ecu you have is looking for one. You probably have a OBD0 PR3 of PW0 ecu

Either have the ecu chipped so it doesn't look for the knock sensor or install a knock sensor in the LS block.
