Default Which tire set for traction?

i'm looking to buy some tires fairly soon.

Narrowed my choices down to 2 choices:

1)Falken Ziex Ze-512
2)Yokohama AVS ES100

From what i have been reading, the es100s have better traction but the 512s will last longer.

Also, i'm trying to decide between 2 sizes

195/55-15 stock
or
205/55-15 for better traction

The 205/55-15 ES100s is kinda out of my leagure, ($$ wise) So i was wondering:

Will I get better traction with the 205/55-15 512s or the 195/55-15 ES100s
or can i not do that comparsion?

Thanks in advance.

edit: meant to say i need the traction for turbo gsr

I would get 205/50/15 ES100

205/55 is too much sidewall for a GSR. Stick with a 195/55 or a 205/50.

I never see the 205/50/15. Not even an option on tires.com. Any help?

Click on the sponsor link at the top of the Wheel/tire forum. I'm sure discount tire can get you what you need. I know they have a lot of 205/50 sizes and they will be able to help you out!

yah tires.com is the same site. But anyway, i did a search by size and i found them.

In that size i noticed the Azenis Sport. Anyone have any experience with them?

I'm using the Azenis sport right now. I know they are discontinued but discount still has some I believe. I've used the ES100s before as well. ES100 is a decent street tire with pretty good treadwear and good rain handling characteristics. The Azenis is unbelievable in dry roads but treadwear isn't great. Depends how many miles you drive...the new azenis is coming out, you might want to try that but it costs about $18 more than the old ones. I am going to try the new ones as soon as I can.

Depends how many miles you drive...I would say that the ES100 will last about twice as long.
