Default Ok, im really freaking confused and pissed. Need help!

Just built a ls/vtec now i have a problem with high fuel pressure.

Guage reads 73/74 vaccum off and on. I yanked the return line and pressure does nothing. I checked to make sure the inline to the rail is lined up right.

my regulator is adjust all the way up. I have swap the fpr with a stock fpr and still no changes. Im running 240cc injectors, str rail, vortech fpr.

we have tested the guage and the gauge is 100% dead on. Now if the pressure was really at 74 i doubt the car would be able to run. Thing is, car runs great, runs alittle rich, but the car has not yet been tuned.

uberdata p06 ecu converted to vtec right now i have a afc hooked up too, and if i remove the afc the car runs like ****. im taking the afc is helping with the fuel pressure?

Im hitting a wall, any ideas anyone?

would it be possible my injectors are really not 240? I bought them off ebay. but would big injectors cause high pressure?

if i remove the afc i run lean as hell.

ecu is a stock gsr map, 240 injectors

The fuel injectors have nothing to do with the fuel pressure. Where are you measuring fuel pressure from?

Personally, id try swapping out the STR for a stock fuel rail, and put on a stock FPR back on. See what that does. If you are worried about fuel flow, dont bother. Ive made over 400hp on a stock rail and stock fpr.

If that doesnt fix your problem, its possible your fuel pump is wacky. You can try replacing it. However its very unlikely the fuel pump is the problem. The fuel pump doesnt control fuel pressure, thats the job of the FPR. My guess is still a wacky fuel rail/fpr.

Are you running stock fuel lines?

Okay, the fuel pump is really not likely to cause this problem. How did you check the accuracy of the gauge? Try swapping another one onto your car. Then if the pressure is still up, it's got to be something between the gauge and the injectors ore between the gauge and the fuel tank on the return line side.
To narrow down the problem area get another gauge with a "T" fitting and splice it into the return line. If the pressure is low, then the problem must be between the injectors and the gauge. Then just do like the other guy said and swap out the rail and fpr again. Also get new lines from the filter to the rail. If this solves the problem, start to put things back one by one until the problem re-manifests itself. Then you know the culprit. I think you get the idea? Good luck.
