Ok i have already purchased and installed a b16b in my 95 coupe.

I have a few questions though. The mounts i used are the ones that came on the b16b. The motor sits a little high in the engine bay and i get the feeling the mounts are wrong.

I know i need to use the 3g integra rear mount and drivers side mount but i was wondering what mounts the b16b would come with. I know it came out of an EK so does it use the same mounts the b16a2 uses for the ek. I wasn't sure b/c i know this is a gsr block and was wondering if it did come with the mounts i needed.

The engine still fits and i can close the hood although the engine seems kind of close to the hood. Am i going to run into any problems just running it like it is? I don't think the engine will contact the hood under normal driving conditions.

Also i use the integra type r throttle cable correct?

 

The motor comes out of a 96-00 Civic so the mounts are for that particular car regardless of what block is using, so yeah, same as the 99-00 Si B16A2 mounts.

About it being high, every B18 I've seen in a EG has always looked like it sat kind of high. I know you have a B16, but it uses a 1.8block so it should sit at the same height as a B18.

Take some pics of the mounts and engine bay post them so can see what it looks like.

 

Yeah i figured. I called HMO where i got the motor from and he confirmed that it does use the same mounts as the 99-00 si.

If thats the case then i'm using the wrong mounts. I already ordered the integra mounts i need.

You could also try shimming the engine down a few mm but putting washers on the mounting bolts.
