Default wierd animal/scratching sound from clutch

well i just got my car back drom the shop and they installed a act 6 puck clutch kit. i took my car for a spin and i notice when im balancing my clutch pedal (when the car is about to move) my clutch is making a scratching noise or some type of grinding noise is sounding. now i take it back to the shop (same day) and they said you hafta break it in. i did what they said but man that noise doesnt sound goood. other than that the clutch grabs great. it is only when the clutch pedal is half way up asnd the car starts gripping it makes that noise, also when i have the pedal all the way down it makes a somewhat loose/vibrating screw noise shaking around somewhere. does it sound familiar to anyone? btw how many miles before break in the clutch? thanks... (its a gsr....i know i posted in the type r section sorry. )

1) Get out before a pack of angry type R wolves eat you! (Welcome to the site.)

2) My Action 1MD did the same. It will get slightly better. It sounds like someone is stepping on a fat lazy weasel, almost like a low-pitch wheelspin. That is, when it's not jumping or chattering. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=962514

Oh well, I hated the 1MD anyway, so my stupid *** is getting a 2MD. *shrug*

its clutch chatter on the flywheel. i had it real bad with my 6 puck clutch on my CM flywheel. put the stock clutch back in, not a peep since. i think it has a lot to do with the clutch material and PP being used. some bite real hard, and dont slip as much or at all, and the only thing it can do it chatter if you try to slip it.

My ACT XT-SS screaches a bit if I try to feather it. It really doesn't bother me much though as long as it lasts longer than the stock clutch lasted.

How long did your stock clutch last? Mines starting to get "grabby" and stubborn.

BTW, I sent the Money Order today.

Thanks, I'm packing up the wheels tonight...........

My stock clutch crapped out at 45,000 miles. Mine really didn't progressively crap out though. It actually was going strong and then one day, I could hardly get into gear. I litterally had to start out in whatever gear I wanted to go into. When we replaced it we found that a piece of metal about the size of a penny had sheared off of the disk (the metal part that goes around the springs) and was grinding between the friction material and the rivets on the clutch.
