I don't know if you could attach the studs or not, but I'd say save yourself the headach of trying and get a different type.

Or maybe you could just weld the type S one on

did you get the pilow mounts with the strut bar?
You have to do a swap to the JDM type if you want to use the Type-S

You have to have the mounts for it to fit.

You don't need the pillow ball mounts to install it. I just picked the Type-S strut bar and it came with four bolts and screws that had taping bars near the head to stop them from turning during installation. Any bolts with a thinly shaved head should work for this installation. If the bolt heads are too thick they will interfere with positioning of the pillow mounts.

No need to drill out that holes cause they are already there. There are body coloured stickers covering the holes on all preludes.

I'll be damned. I've had this bar sitting on my floor for a few months wondering how to install it. Got any pics?

Found a pic of the screws you hafta attach the type s strut bar to.
They're the one's boxed in green.

So the type s bar comes w/ the screws?
Cause i heard that you require the screws on the car or you can't install it.

I got my bar from icbmotorsports and all it came with were black bolt locks to go over the screws in that photo (coming out of the strut mount). The problem is, I have a usdm prelude with usdm mounts that don't have those extra bolts coming out. What this post has made me aware of is that there are holes there, so I bought some bolts today and am going to try putting it on tomorrow and getting some pics up here for you guys. I really hope it works/holds.

damn those are just stickers, thanks for the info

so basically you just gotta buy the bar w/ the right bolts and pound them in from the bottom then bolt it in and go, or is there something else to make this a pita?

Even with flat head bolts the mount won't sit flush, as designed. Buy the Type S mounts, they're only $45-$50 and they make for a perfect fit. And its probably the most labor intensive bar on the market for the 5th gen.

Yeah I think the DC Sports Strut tower bar is the best one on the market besides the Type S or custom made. But why would you want one in the front? The Preludes already have enough understeer, why make it worse.

my car is back to bone stock, and i agree with you. stiffen the rear or dont even bother. Get a good suspension setup (coilovers or good spring/shock combo) and it will get rid of body roll. if thats what your goin for.

Well, if I could find the mounts I would buy them but I haven't seen them for sale anywhere and don't know how to get them.
