Hii everyone.. lOl.. i sumbled onto this website through yahoo.. and thought I'd jOin.. since I got a honda toO! lOl.. my car really needs to be re-painted.. becuz when i got my car.. it was a salvaged.. and now that the paint is starting to chip and lookin crappy. i need a new paint jOb.. lOl.. WHERE WOULD I BEGIN to fix my civic!? NEWBIE IN HELP!!

...why didnt you attempt to help him in his question if you wanted to generalize on how people are like here at honda tech....at least try to help him rather then "warn" him about how "some" people are like here...

To the original poster:

depends on what kind of paint job your looking for. Show quality, then you should look up some respectable paint shops around your area, and give them a call. If you just want your car to be all one color, then call maaco. I had maaco paint on my hatch for a year and a half and it held up well. In maaco its a hit or miss. I would also search this website (the search function to your top right hand corner) which will help you tremendously.

 

THanks to all those who were welcoming.. . its very nice of you. hehe.. umm.. i have a Honda Civic EX 99'. its not as bad as it seems.. the left side, the roof and the bumpers need to be painted.. I really... AM a newbie.. &gt;_&lt;.. or maybe i'm just a girl cuz i really don't know anything about cars.. all that i know is... they take me where I need to be.. lOl.. i guess watching all those MTV PIMP my RIDES.. really got to me... i'm guessing the MAJORITY of this site is guys? =/.

Pimp my ride... Laff. If your wanting to paint your car, I suggest doing the prep work yourself, it's really not all that challenging. I've seen a couple of posts on here about it, but I can't remember them. Also, if you use google, you can find a lot of sites on how-tos on body work. Good luck and welcome!

My post was just to say welcome to honda-tech. And after saying welcome I gave the new user a quick rundown of the H-T Aholes. Even If I didnt have any warning about H-T Aholes I still would have said welcome.

I didnt try to help the new user because I didnt have any advice to give regarding a paintjob.

i'm a noob to this site, but i've learned quickly that theres a lot of people that are very helpful and there are an amazing amount of ******** in this forum. Since you're a girl, i think they'll be easy on you. this week alone, like once a day i've seen a noob get what seems to be as the official honda-tech greeting. they don't think rice is nice here in the forum. so be careful about what you say or ask or its flame onnnn
