What happens when you add too much oil

What happens when you add too much oil
I accidentally added 1 additional litre of oil into my car...and I hit Vtec numerous times afterwards before I found out that there was too much oil in there...does it hurt the engine badly? Thanks in advance for your input.

Thanks for the reply guys...glad to know that it's not too bad for my engine...i drained the oil out already.

If you have added too much most likely you'll blow your seals and have oil leaking on your garage floor assuming your car is in the garage. I know this is what happened when I added too much in my eclipse before I had the R. But maybe you'll get lucky.
