what to do with 93 si lude?
Hey everyone,
I have a 93 5spd lude with 150k on the h23 engine. The clutch needs to be replaced very soon, as well as a few other things. The h23 is still running strong though with oil changes every 3k miles, but i haven't done a compression test or anything. I'm also buying a 89 accord i think for a daily driver while my car will be down (heh 40k miles for 500 bucks...can't beat that now can ya?).
Anyways in theory i would like around 250-300 whp out of my lude. Is this something that can be accomplished for 3000 to 5000 dollars? Was thinking about turbo as well. From what i've read, once you sleeve a h23 block, it is a never ending process.
The lude also needs new rotors, brake pads, suspension, and a few other little things. I think i might go ahead and replace the clutch with an act 2100. And then figure out if i should use my stock bottom end and use different cams and turbo, get another h23 or h22 and build the block, and then turbo, or just forget about a turbo lude and buy a 92-95 hatch and turbo a b16 or b18. I'm open to all suggestons, i just want a pretty reliable daily driver, that can take the 5.0 or srt-4 i pull up to
. Thanks for your time and i hope to hear from you soon.

i own a 93 si myself. and ill tell u from now 3000-5000$$ might get u to 220 being becuase were only pushing 160hp and it cost alot of money to get the numbers up there. i would suggest to build the motor for higher compression. pistons, valvetrain etc. dont go with a turbo right away because the engine wont last more than a few months. If ur thinking about ways to take an srt-4 i woud suggest throwing a jdm h22a into a crx and ull find urself taking more the srt-4's!!.
