Default what cams for h22 turbo?

im gonna run 20lbs of boost on my h series and was wondering what cams i should go with.so far, crower cams have been suggested and to my suprise, type s cams.anyone have any personal experience with either or any suggestions on what i should end up using?if you need to know more of my setup to give you a better idea, lemme know what you need and i'll let you know , thanks in advance

well skunk2 has turbo cams but dont know if anyone has used them befor

hmm yeah i guess thats the real question i have, how much better is crower stage 2 than type s, and is it worth it?whats the ups and downs?and who has this already?

Stock cams are fine you can make awsome power with them on turbo . Just my 2 cents

Exactly what I was going to say.

There is a blue Lude in a turbo magazine that I have making over 500whp on stock cams.

Stock are great for big FI setups. I use stock cams with a lot of Nitrous, works great.

save your money for somthing else to make power stock is just fine 500 easy

agreed. Many people are using stock cams and making nice numbers at a lower psi. Save the money and put it else where and in the end if you absolutely feel that you want more out of your engine then pick them up, but I'd put them last on my list.

i have used stock and crower stage 2 t. ive seen stocks go 568 on a friends car.

i have never tuned the same engine w/both cams, but i have driven both on the same engine and its a big difference. it reved and spooled a lot better.

i dont see type-s being good, but i can be wrong...i guess if you can dial out the overlap.

talk to turbo sam he has used both also (stock and crower)

i usally say after 500 is when u should look into cams

ok cool i guess i'll just stick with stock for now and get some valves/springs/retainers and a nice port and polish to go with the str IM and 70mm tb
