Default mini me ecu Q

which ecu should i use with a a6 bottom and y8 head? i wanted to keep it obd0 but i heard the pr3 doestn run good with z6/y8. could i get my ecu chipped so it acts like a p28 or something? or should i just keep my pm6 and get a vtec controlller. im on a budget but i want the car to run good. also, if i used a vtec controller on my stock ecu or another non vtec ecu, could i also use the vafc to do the 'hack' thing or tune my motor when i turbo it??????

Don't make the same mistake I did of going OBD-0 and running a vtec controller.

Here is the answer to your question: the ecu you should use is either PM6 or PG7. PR3 might work, but DONT use it, its set for dohc. Yes you can get a PM6 ecu chipped. You use the vafc to engage vtec, but whats the 'hack' thing?

Here is what I and you should do: Switch to OBD-1. Get a P28 ecu, a conversion harness, Y8 distributor and 4 wire 02 sensor. And switch to obd-1. I will never make that mistake again. I am converting to obd-1 in the summer, I can't wait.

you use the ecu to match the head. i think it's a p28? to use the pm6 you'll have to get it modded at zdyne or hondata.
