I am working on a 1998 Civic that had a D16Y7 engine in it. i drove over a curb in this car which knocked a hole in the oil pan, and broke the block where the drivers mount bolts in.

i had a spare long block laying around that had spun a rod bearing so i took the entire rotating assembly out of the running engine, crank, rods, bearings, and girdle, into the engine block that was good. i also used the head off of the engine that was in the car.

now the car will start and idle fine, and will idle even when it comes up to temperature. as soon as you try to drive it, it tries to bog out, and once you get the clutch out and start trying to move the car will stop trying to rev, and eventually die, when it dies the starter has a hard time turning the engine over and will drain the battery very fast. even trying to use a jump box it will drain it very fast.

i have been moving this car in and out of the shop every day at work, when it is cold it will drive fine, i can drive it about an 1/8 of a mile before it dies then it won't do anything

any way you guys can help would be great. this is one of my bosses personal cars, and he is running out of patience.
