This 5W30 oil has now thickened out to a 15W40 -- argue whether it matters if you like, but we believe engine builders spec an oil for a reason, and this oil is far, far thicker now than intended for the LS1. Switching to our flush Mobil 1 netted a nearly instant 10% improvement in fuel economy, and the engine runs a heckuva lot smoother too."

I would go mobil1 its cost less and easier to find and give about the same results as Amsoil at about 3-5k miles changes. The test was done on a LS1 but every engine is different if you worry about oil test use one and then the other and test every oil change and see which one is better for your car.
