Default Help! Engine Question

I am going to be purchasing a D15B engine and tranny. I checked out a lot of places and was wondering if anyone has delt with or heard anything about http://www.jdmsource.ca They have the D15B Engine & Tranny for $800 shipped. I have heard a lot of good stuff about Hmotorsonline.com but they dont have any trannys. Any feedback about places people have delt with or other suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I don't know anything about that company, but I've seen JDM D15's for ~$400-$500.

Just curious as to why you want a D15b?
You could get a D16 or something.

I have a D16Z6 in there now but my tranny is all F*cked up and so is my engine. I need to replace them and where ever I look no one is selling the D16's they only have D15B's. I would love a B16 or B18 but I unfortunatly dont have that kind of $ im a struggling college student. Does anyone know better places to get either a D15 or D16 engine and tranny?

Find someone local who has done a swap. I dropped a dohc in my car and let the stock 1.5 go for $300. Sohc's are everywhere, you just have to know where to look.

My 2 cents.

i would personally recommend a local honda acura junkyard. the one i go to has tons of d16z6's just sitting around

i have heard of that company however i have not dealt with them.. if u get that motor tho, ul have to do the ecu swap as well, if u do not already have a z6 motor u will also need to wire it for vtec. i would rec. the junk yard, i bet it would be a lot cheaper

I dont know where to buy them, but you should make a new thread with a different title like "where to buy xxxx?" Instead of engine question. It may get some folks attentino that have bought motors.

just a thought. Good luck Bump!
