Default Getting my garaged sol back into driving mode...

What precautions and/or actions should I take to get my 94 sol 1.6L vtec back on the road after keeping it in the garage all winter - - i only started it a few times - - only drove it twice - - and never actually winterized it - - (stupid, i know) - - what do i need to do now to get it back to normal driving condition - - i know i cant just start driving it...
thanx for the help...

1. change the motor oil and oil filter
2. Check tire pressure
3. Make sure all fluids are topped off

and I think that's it.

ooops I forgot... also add Seafoam or some other strong cleaner to your gasoline cuz your injectors are prolly clogged from gasoline varnish deposits.

some tanks have a bolt at the bottom to drain it... in other cases, you have to syphon it out... get a transfer 'pump' from Walmart... a lil hand pump you can syphon gas with.

If the car starts fine, you don't need to drain the fuel from the tank. Just do what saxqtzk wrote:

and you should be fine. I store my motorcycle from october to april/may every year and never had a problem.

would adding b12 chemtool cleaner to the oil and running it awhile with the old oil and then changing it be a bad idea?? the instructions say to run it awhile in the oil and then change the oil immediately...

Just drain the oil and that's it. No chemicals or anything else.

Listen, drain engine oil, charge battery and crank it over. Let it run for about 10 minutes. If it hiccups or something, maintain idle with throttle. Then take it out for a spin. It should be fine. It is the same thing as buying a new car that has been sitting on the lot for 3 months. Nothing is damaged or clogged on your car.

I heard that it was a good idea to turn it over a couple times before letting it start? Maybe someone smarter can say that's an awful idea.

1. checked tire pressure
2. checked fluid levels - - and filled the low coolant
3. changed the oil and filter
4. put 4 cylinder engine restore and lubricant in the motor
5. kissed it for luck...

its now running better than it has ever since ive had it - - as far as i can remember

If you're concerned about the gas I would get some fresh gas and pour it in your tank... But I agree that gas that sits in the tank for long periods of time don't do any good.
