suction cup videocam
Does anyone know of a decent quality camera (suction) that will jack into a standard input on a camcorder?

here is a picture of one, which I think i've seen used on track before. (for recording purposes)
TIA - TOM

I would PM Sweetcarz (Joey) about one...He use to have one that he ordered online, I think he said it only cost about 80$...
Again, PM him and I am sure he could give you some more info, hope that helps

I have heard that some of them are pretty good.
If my camera was able to record from one of those cameras I'd have one...
And I hardly call that a burnout

Suction cup an expensive video camera to the outside of a car at speed? I don't think I'd take that chance
For a burnout maybe, but trusting an $80 suction cup to hold my $800 camera; I dunno.

are you saying that you'd trust a 500 suction cup then? as long as the piece is a quality piece, i'm sure it'll hold up unless you hit another object pretty hard. regardless, i definitely wouldn't go to the track or anything. i'd use it for a photgraphy session cruising down the street or something.

thats a cool *** pick. and sorry I can't help with your question. haha
You can find very strong suction cup like things though at different stores where you have to open a screw or somethign to get it off. It would take like a severe amount of force otherwise to get them off. I dunno man. Goodluck

I have a suction cup mount....and used a Sony VX2000 with it along with arms for extensions. This suction cup is money. Len can vouch for it being trust worthy. Contact http://www.glazerscamera.com in Seattle as I know this is the only place to get it. They are good peoples.
Cost was $70.00. I had my suction cup mount with a 1' arm connected onto the inside of my windshield and in 4000 miles of driving with a Sony VX2000 on it, it never fell off the window once.

Poorly worded on my part. My point was that I'd have a very worry-some time cruising at speed with my somewhat expensive camera suction cupped to the outside of my car. I have no personal experience with good or bad camera suction mounts.

I had mine, stuck to the outside of my window...all the way butted up against the passenger side of the front windshield. I had a 2ft arm that positioned the camera to be shooting in the car from the passenger side. Sony VX2000 hanging off. 45-55mph on public roads...train tracks...pot holes... there is nothing to worry about. Just buy quality camera mounts.

You ever see boosted hybrid running mikes01gsr? They deff. hit speeds in excess of 120mph and the cam is fine. . .
