umm so the other night my car wouldnt start. no lights inside working. after trying to start it, the car alarm would beep but not in the "alarming" manner. i thought it was a basic basttery dying... so i told my friend to come out with the jumper cables. so his car is running, i put the positive on his and then when i come over to mine... the moment i barely tap it, the alarm beeps as if i hit a button on the remote... so i was like... okay i'll try it, and it worked. the next night when i was leaving to go out i tried starting up... same problem. somehow in quick thinking i thought of a positive source and i remembered there was a flashlight in my garage. i pulled a regular battery out and tapped the positive side of my car battery with the positive end of the regular battery and it did the same thing. car started up etc. im just wondering what the heck this problem is. i now have the regular battery sitting in my cup holder just so if it doesnt start up again. any ideas?

 

check the cable connections

 

Maybe you need to replace the battery. it's probally just about to die.
