90-93 ACCORD EX HEADERS???
sup everyone. i have a 1991 accord lx with intake and exhaust. i was wondering if ex header would give me more power? i need some serious low end power cause this car sucks there. and is it worth the upgrade? if so does anyone know where i can buy a used 90-93 accord ex header? thanks!!!
I heard something about some LX's have a different number of bolts on the cat...so that you might not be able to connect it to the cat correctly. But then again, if you went aftermarket, you might run into the same problem. It should fit (but don't quote me on that)...aftermarket headers should be more power oriented, but then again, they sometimes crack (my EX header has such a big dent on it...good thing it's cast iron)
I used to have a set of DC's on my old F22. It was the same header for the DX, LX, and EX. The only difference was the location of the oxygen sensor. These headers had 2 places to put the sensor, and a plug for the one not used. I noticed mainly high end gain over stock, but the stock EX header is different from stock LX header, so you might notice a bit more gain.
I dont know about the fitment, but one of the power differences between the LX (125/130) and the EX (140) is a redesigned exhaust manifold (headers). So if you put on EX headers, you might see a few more horses at the crank. And if you want low end, headers wont get you there, just get a Camaro.
