well, here's the story...

on March 03, 2005 i sent "civic702" $260 for Tokico Illuminas w/ Neuspeed Race springs.

They arrived here in MD on March 9, 2005. They were in decent condition, I checked if there were any leaks, but didnt see any fluids or anything, but when i pressed down on the suspension it made kind of a squishy squeek, like a "doggy toy that whistles"...i figured they were probably set on the softest setting since i couldnt check myself because the damper dials were off on the top of the strut. I installed them yesterday March 12, 2005. Installation went smooth, and we set the suspension on 3F and 2R. i drove and every little bump i hit or an indent on the road, the suspension would whistle, and when i hit some dips on the roads and bumps it would sound like really loud metals banging on each other, almost like they were separating and coming back and smacking each other. So the next day, which is today...i played around with the setting. i put the rears to 4 and the fronts to 3. I was surprised that the squeeking went away a little, but that loud banging sound after i hit a bump was still there. I tried setting 4 all the way around and the loud banging was still there...

Now, i was worried...i sent civic702 a PM

pretty much i just want a refund and i want to send it back to him myself...

he's denying that their not blown and nothing was wrong with them, but clearly he said in the convo that they squeek when he sets them on high levels....then denys it later on....but, i personally tested that they squeek less when its on higher settings...and they make a loud banging sound when u hit bumps

bump for getting this sorted out

this guy sold me "black housing headlights" that he said were "perfect"..............but they ended up being broken and cracked to all hell

since I only paid $50 shipped it was worth the hassle...

civic702 you need to redeeem yourself and give this man a refund

I have the same suspension and mine do not bang or make any sounds at all. Ed has rode in my car and knows for a fact that they dont make any noise. The banging usually means that they're blown and not rebounding and dampening. So it sounds from what ive read that they're blown to me................

I vouch for ECAhatch as well. I helped in install the suspension and they are definatly blown. The backs squeek all the time, and make a banging sound on big bumps because they are bottoming out.

We tried everything to make sure it wasn't just something that wasn't installed right but I have done many suspensions before and know what blown shocks feel/sound like.

So all in all, they are blown, wrong for selling them cause there is like no way that two shocks for just the rears can get blown in the mail if their shipped with springs on them already. They would have to get hit with something that delivers the force of a car + some to even feel damage, so unless the ups guy rolled over them with his truck...

Or maybe the ups guy destroyed them in a plot to make people look like they sold rear blown shocks, but lets just assume they were sold that way...

Can ya give him a refund please
