too many variables.... hot out, cold out, surface, etc.......

usually on blacktop with a normal temp outside would be 4500-5000rpm and you should be good.

practice untill you find the right spot. each car is different, each style is different.

best advice i can give you though is, practice when the roads are wet. their wont be as much friction, and the wear and tear will be less for a few practice runs.

*just be very, very carefull when practicing on wet roads. a lot of things can happen*

I mean not that theres anything wrong with drag racing...its a fun thing to do from time to time, but what is funny is that someoen bought a brand new S2000, probobly has low miles and the guy probobly doesnt have alot of experience driving the thing, yet his first question in here is concerning driving this car fast in a straight line.

It really suprises me since the first day we got our S2000, we were up shredding up some roads in the north georgia mountains, and when we came back, all i wanted to talk about was how damn good that car felt really driving it, and not just trying to make it accelerate fast.

With more posts like these popping up, my confidence in the used s2k market steadily declines..

Well, most people who go to the track in these cars hardly put a beating on the car. Since they don't launch hard and don't shift very hard. So, I wouldn't be too worried about it.

Obviously, there are some you need to be worried about it. But, the S2000 is a strong car. It can take a good beating.
