Exedy makes ACT clutches???
I was just curious because I have several buddies that has bought some ACT clutch kits for their various Hondas and we have noticed "EXEDY" on the clutch disc. Did Exedy bought out ACT or is it that now they make discs for them. Anyone know???
I have never heard of that but i have exceddy disk with my act pressure plate and it works like a charm. This is on my 1g awd talon and it has seen many launches in past few months i took the tranny of due to center diff failure and the disk has very and i mean very minimal wear on it. Sorry to jack your post like this but i thought i'd share it with you guys.
Exedy, is a divison of Daikan corp. who makes various clutch parts for OEM and aftermarket companies. I can't rembemeber if Daikan made the pressure plate or the clutch Disc for ACT. Its one or the other
Really?...I was wondering because I have never noticed that "EXEDY" was on the discs of the ACT clutches I have used in the past. Thanks for the advices/comments guys.

my clutchmasters disk had the same Daikan corp logo on it as my Exedy Stg 1 clutch disk.
I'm pretty sure Daikan corp makes clutch components for most if not all aftermarket company's.

Daikin clutch manufactures the pressure plates for ACT, and ACT then re-stamps the plates to their design. EXEDY is a direct division of Daiken, while ACT is its own division. That is why you see the DAIKIN stamp on the ACT pressure plates. Same materials, different development for the clutches. We work about 40 minutes from EXEDY in Michigan
