Depending on your age both cars will have high insurance rates - mainly due to the fact that they're stolen left, right and centre all across the country.
If you want leather, A/C, sunroof and a torquier motor go with the RSX. Otherwise go with the R (and prepare to alarm the out of it, be paranoid about getting it stolen every waking moment of every day, deal with haters and vandals, and lots of attention from the cops).
Simple choice to me....

This is My philosophy
Anyone who questions if the should get an R, should'nt get one
its a car for a certain type of person, not for everyone
I knew since they came out that it was the car for me, never had to think twice. always knew what I wanted
so thats why I say if your questioning your decision than the R is probely not for you
Its a loud, rough riding, superfun car to drive.
its not a car for someone who justs want to say they have a type R

and so what did the RSX, "BTW it's really an Integra" guys say?
I agree with Vegeta to some extent with if you have to ask then maybe you don't lnow enough about it. Did or have you test driven either? I think you should. they will both drive completely differently and you may feel a decided opinion of what you want After you drive both!
So go West young man and drive the Sh*t out of both to see what you will be getting into.
Good Luck, And as Vegeta said, I also knew after driving my 94 LS for 4 years that I just had to get the R, and No the GSR for me just wouldn't do.

thats fuggin beautiful man...
Drive them, see what you like better.
If you're not going to track very often maybe an rsx would be better, but if you are going to the track a type R would be better ..
I personally would go for the R.

The Type R is not for everyone. I wish everyone who owned an R appriciated it as much as I do. There wouldn't be any R's running around recked all the time with super wide body kits or altezzas. The Type R is an enthuiests car and if you don't understand the car and it's potential, or are wanting to street race it and be a quarter mile badass don't get the R. Get the RSX-S so you can beat the **** out of it and I won't have to cry that another R is gone .
