Default 2 O2 sensors on b16a1???

Ok, here's the deal, on my first gen b16, my stock manifold had 2 o2 sensors on it, 1 wire for each of them. I bought a b18(90-91 integra) header for it, and it only has 1 o2 sensor hole. I plugged up one of the sensors and ran the car. Now I'm throwing a code 2 (o2 sensor).

I was wondering if any of you have this problem, and how would I fix this? The CEL is so damn annoying.

You should be running both of them thats why you have a cel, that ecu needs both to properly supply fuel to all 4 cylinders, with out both,2 of your cylinders will run leaner than the others.

What this does exactly is use the O2 reading from cylinders 2 & 4 (right #s?) and tell the ECU that 1 & 3 are doing the same.

that may make the code go away, but he should get the ecu chipped to run that single 02 sensor or go obd1...

the ecu needs to see two, and the low collector needs a heated o2 sensor to work properly, the 2 on a b16a are not, since they are so close to the block.

just some things to consider.

Wouldn't doing this be the same? Basically, the o2 sensors plug into 2 different plugs on the front of the tranny. Couldn't I splice and soder the wires into one? Wouldn't that be just like jumping the wires at the ecu?

dont solder both into 1, you will not run correct(too rich/lean), do it how honda intended.

^^Correct!

Just get two O2 sensor bungs welded on to the header where they were on your B16 manifold. Do it properly and your mileage and driveability will be waaaaay better than if you jump them.

Would an exhaust shop be able to tap another hole on my header to run another o2 sensor?

Yes, have them weld in 2 new o2 bungs in stock locations. I believe 1 sensor measures 1&2 and the other does 3&4 (not sure!) . If you start to bog after this , switch the pins c8 and c16 at the ecu... trust me

The O2 sensors are paired up for 1-4 and 2-3 actually.
Get them to do it like hasports header here:
