I was told that the manifold itself isnt bad, BUT you have to brace it in order for it not to crack. I think im just going to go with a lovefab manifold. but its a good deal from OBX to have a manifold and downpipe for $400, thats probably why its crap....lol...

I have one for a KA24DE in the shop now, that a customer sent me for a turbo location; Im puzzled at how the thing is even SEALED, ie, exhaust leaks.
I believe its the new style too, ram-horn. So, um...if you like pulling your turbo setup off bi-weekly to get cracks welded, or even to seal the thing from the FACTORY, go ahead and save $200...

Just don't do it man...

Even if it is properly braced and works, I still cringe every time I see a car with one.

Every time I see them on cars at the race track I automatically think the owner of the car is an idiot.

my favorite is when i see pictures of these manifolds that ARE braced and still cracked. the brace is like putting a paper towel down on a piece of dog crap in the house, no matter how much you cover it up its still **** inside.

I had a chance to compare the OBX to the SSAC, and they are NOT the same. The design is slightly different, and the OBX uses MUCH heavier tubing. The welds have awesome penetration also.
