Question about exhaust piping???
What is aluminized steel piping? Is that stainless steel? If not will it rust? I am thinking about getting the HKS Hi-Power exhaust and thats what the piping is made of. I dont want to buy an exhaust that has a chance of rusting in a year.
aluminized steel is really cheap, nowhere near the quality of stainless. I beleive it is normal steel with a aluminum plating on it to try and prevent rusting
edit:^^^ you beat me to it

Is that the same as this: The 5Zigen Fireball systems are made from mild steel that have a special coating to resist rust and corrosion.
How long would it be before it would rust? Is there anything I could do to prevent it from rusting?

same thing
depends on the area you live in. a lot of salt in winter= keep on a eye on it. no salt or no winter(like california) no need to worry ever.

it wont rust quickly if live where there isnt to much snow/salt, but if your unsure you could always paint it with some hightemp paint, and put lots of coats cause its gunna get the **** kicked out of it under the car

I live in VA. There is sometimes alot of snow but I really dont drive my car in the Winter becuase of my lip and it being lowered 2 inches. Would painting it with high temp paint really help it from rusting?

Cool. Thanks for letting me know that. All angled exhaust I have looked at are not stainless steel for some odd reason. Out off all of these exhsausts which one would you recommend? Apexi N-1, HKS High-Power, 5Zigen fireball, or the RSR GT2? Which one is not loud?

i personally would go to an exhaust shop and have them custom make one with stainless steel with a few resonators and a nice muffler like a magnaflow a twinloop
then have them make it with an apxi-n1 muffler, it will sound really nice with resonators and everything, they should be able to make it run under the subframe and everything

What are resonaters? If I got custom piping I would get it so the piping went over the LCA.

it harder to have it angled when it goes over the lca, but resonators take out the raspiness of the exhaust, make it a lot more smooth

My friends Del sol has custom piping that goes through the LCA and its angled exactly how I want it.
