How does THAT work?
So I took my car to get it inspected...
They said they cant pass it until I get the Passenger CV Boot installed... And yet they made no mention about the MISSING MUFFLER. How is a Split CV Boot a bigger deal than no muffler?
Maybe there is something I'm missing here... Or does this sound just as crazy to you guys?

Pffff you should be more concerned about a missing cv boot than they are. You have to replace the axle now...because I guarantee that the joint is damaged

Seriously...... It's not a matter of IF but a matter of WHEN that joint is going to brake. And that is something you don't want to happen.

We have the parts for when that is going to happen... But for now I dont have the time to do it. I have to work around the other crew members schedules... And seeming as the only time we hang out is around mid-night and typically later... That doesnt leave much time to do an axle repair.
But anyways, I'll have it repaired before the next Auto Cross... It just kind of boggles my mind that the muffler was a non existant issue... Kind of odd.

Why, do they put the car on the dyno over there ? If an axle breaks on the dyno, there could be some serious damage. But what kind of inspection was it ?

For 20 minutes maybe, but I bet I can do mine in 30 with hand tools

It was a regular inspection...
My buddy has changed his quite a bit (they have a Honda or two... Or three... Or four) and he said the longest his has ever taken was 30minutes. With proper tools or course.
I'm not too stressed over it... I'll get to it within the next few weeks or so.

And what does that mean, was it an emission inspection, bar inspection ??? You have to be a little more specific because it varies on state.
