Default After turbo install getting check engine light

Getting code P1491 Manfacurer Contrl. Auxiliary emission controls.

Anyone run into this and have any ideas what to do? Thanks

that is also the same code that is haunting me. P1491 is the EGR valve lift, at the dealer it's $300 bucks to replace. I dont know if it's ok to just clean it, but mines on order.

you can easily clean the egr without even taking it off.....but your boost is probably forcing it somewhere it doesnt want to go....

again, go to the forced induction forum....a little farther down the main page.....

try taking off the egr and cleaning it underneath

He's getting an EGR code, not a MAP code.

so maybe boost hitting the egr is no good.
