hi, just to share my experience with buying ebey pistons, DO NOT BUY, they are cheap and very bad copy of originall product, if you wannt quality buy honda oem pistons, you dont wanna risk your motor for some cheap pistons, well thats just my 5cents, good luck
Everyone thought OBX cams were **** too though untill somebody tried them, I dunno my girl is buying them so maybe I can convince her to spend alil more from hmo, plus the honda mechanic round here goes through hmo....hmmmm decisions decisions

Dude if you cant afford 169 shipped for pistons maybe you should hold off on this project for a little. Dont forget that putting ctr pistons in a b16 requires some shaving of the piston dome to fit correctly. Not to mention all the hassle of installing them......
well if you wanna build nice reliable, strong runing motor you have to spend $$$$$$$, just think about it you rev it to 8500rpm and something lets go, there goes all your investment, i bought ebey pistons just to see what people actually sell and i compered them to my oem honda ctr pistons there is so many differences in those 2 that i would be just afraid to use it, Rather save some money and buy good stuff or dont buy nothing at all. good luck

I know that, I wanted to bore chambers alil anyways. I am saving for the build but dont want to spend all my $$$ on the parts. I'm also buying the OBX s2 cams and some portflow springs/retainers...that's where my $$$ went

I think what he means is that your going to run into a lot of small things that add up in $$$ and if 169 is a lot to you maybe you should wait until youve saved up some more.

If these are built to the exact same specs as oem CTR pistons what could go wrong? 169 is alot when it's not my money.
I dunno guess I'll guinnea pig it

i didnt install them because im not gonna risk my motor for some cheap pitons and there is to many visual diffreneces in pistons and im telling you not to waste your money and time, it takes more than just buying ctr pistons, and one more reason why i didnt use it is beacause oem honda product is proven, and it works or i think you should buy it and let as all know how they work, good luck
I just emailed the seller and someone who bought them and see what they say. I asked the seller to provide me with numbers proving they work and if there is any warranty on them. I will keep you guys informed. If it does start to sound sketchy I'll take the negative ebay points, and talk to the mrs. about HMO. Until then
Thanks for all the input ya'll

Sounds good man. Remember, its not worth being a guinea pig. Engine internals are no joke. A lot of work/hours to install pistons. If something goes wrong, not only are you out of whatever breaks, u also have to take all the time of dissembly and reassembly.
I just got my set of nippon racing ctr(81.) copies last week from a guy on here. His name is thevanitygroup and he has a ad for them in the classifieds. I will let everyone know how my build goes after I install them. Here's the list
B17 with ctr pistons, aebs manifold, hondata gasket, ctr pulley, overbore tb, dc header, rsr exhaust, clutch master flywheel, sprung six puck clutch and ebay intake. Im just going to hone the cly walls real fast install new acl rod bearings and slap in the std bore ctr pistons.
** Oh yea the pistons from h motors online dont come with rings
