what series of motor is in a stock 99 civic ex

Where do i look on the motor to find what series it is. Was wanting to Supercharge it but i dont know what series it. thanks for the info. its stock

u have a D-Series Motor. The Series Is Usually Posted On The Block Like On The Left Side Of The Headers

It shuld be a D16y8 The code is on a little area on the engine where the engine and transmission connects. It an inch by inch area.

I would turbo. You have more options that way for future upgrades and such.
