Do our US spec R's have 96 spec JDM sus????
after seeing the type r legend vid, i'm starting to think so. mostly the rear it seems. as yoshi pointed out before, we have the 22mm rear bar (96 JDM size) 98+ JDM have 23mm, rear upper control arms (96 spec), jdm 98+ have the bar type. there doesn't seem to much of a diff between the JDM r's spring rates though. still love my chit, but just thinking that upgrading to the 98+ spec parts may be worth it??? stiffen the rear up more.
I believe the damper rates are different as well. As I'm sure there rates would be abit hard then here as we have good and bad roads that looks like mine fields at time. I would believe we share the same setup as the UKspec ITR except for there engine which is JDM engine just with 4-2-1 head poped on. Also 187hp Honda claim is BS it's alot higher. How else would broken in stock UKspec R's dyno at 171-172whp. I know that to be true as my friend at dealership in the UK went to local rolling road to dyno one and sure enough it came out 171.8whp with only alittle over 1,000 miles on the car.
