Default b18 crank w/ b16 connecting rods?

Alright, so my friend was wondering if he would be able to fit a b18 crank with b16 connecting rods into a b17 block that has jdm ITR pistion heads?
Would there be any kind of fitting issues with it?

B16 and B17 are the same block. The piston is going to stick out the top of the block about .080".A better set up would be something like the tech 43 setup.
