Default 96 Cluster Question (what is this Plug for)

The image shown above in the red box is the plug in question. My car I just purchased has had some issues and was wondering if this may cure at least my speedo problem which isn't working. I can't find any cut wires so I'm not sure if its used in all models or not. Its a 96 GS-R with a LS engine. The seller said it because of the GS-R harness on the LS block, never heard of this problem but heck what do I know

Have you tried the cluster in you own car yet? There will be sockets/plugs on the back of JDM speedos that you wont need, they will be for auto cars or other models which have TCS etc etc, plug in the plugs that exist on your harness into the relevant spots and it should work fine.

It's for your auto gear indicator. If you car was auto, you'd have another plug.

Does your odometer work? If not, then your VSS went out.

Well it could be the VSS or where someone hacked into the Engine harness and spliced wires....trying to get info about the correct order they go in .
