Default 94 integra Jdm cluster catalytic icon on

I have a 94 sir-g cluster and the catalytic converter icon is coming on. Does this mean a bad o2 sensor or is my catalytic converter going bad?
Car runs good, the check engine light is NOT on.

THat is a 96 Soec Type R cluster.
Looks like the Check engine light it on and not the Cat Overheat.
Besides unless you get a JDM Cat with the temp sensor and hooked it up, the cat overheat light will not come on.

Did you hook up the Cat temp sensor?
If not than there is something screwy with the wires under your dash and it is some how grounding out the terminal for that light.

are you throwing any codes?

btw, sir-g's didn't come out in japan until 95, so its either a si-vtec cluster or a 95 sir-g that you have...

Why dont you first answer the questions asked: Do you have a JDM cat with the sensor attached, i'm guessing no, unless you went to the trouble of hooking up the plug and wiring to run to the cluster. So the problem is possibly that due to the factyou dont have the sensor its turning the light on. If you dont have the sensor then pull out the cluster and remove the bulb as its not doing anything anyway.

that light is to show that the cat is not up to temperature, as converters need to be hot in order to work. since you don't have it hooked up to anything (that you know of), don't worry about it. if it really bugs you, go back to the wiring behind there and ground it to the chassis so it doesn't see any voltage ghosts or something from the other electronics in the gauge pod.

Incorrect...the light comes on in JDM cars if the cat gets too hot. I have owned numerous genuine JDM hondas and never once seen that light come on (except for when you switch on the ignition, but it goes off once you start the car)

Why not just remove the freaking bulb. Its obviously useless on a US car.

So you have a Japanese spec Honda Integra? I still say who cares and just remove the bulb. US cars dont have it, or need it to pass emissions and its pretty much useless.
