So I took a trip to a Salvage yard up by Napa, found a Wrecked FBP R there, with only 17k miles. Dug down to the armrest, and low and behond it was 00-1171!

I came *this close* to buying the whole drivetrain, but instead just got the comptech icebox intake and the rear JDM strut tower bar for $175 (yes, for both!!), I'm most likely getting the carsound cat and S03 tires (Which I'll put on my wifes R). The JDM 4to1 was MIA already.

So to John (FBP_1171), Your car will live on (in part) in my wife's Type R, and in a few other peoples cars I'm sure.

Btw, the swap sold while I was there, after I had passed on it. (Too much damage for my taste.)

I'll be putting the Icebox and JDM rear brace on tomorrow.

Icebox is pimp. Definetly better than stock. Tangable HP difference in VTEC, nice growl. Quieter than the AEM. Same quiet sound level below VTEC as with stock intake.

Rear feels stiffer in sweepers now, too.

Icebox is one of the best mods you can make to your car. As far as I can tell, it doesn't have a downside. if you want the crazy sound, take the box-top off. if not, pop it back on. I drove through a foot of standing water in my R and no hydro. Pretty sweet.
