Default Parts list for sohc D15b vtec? water pump, timing belt, alternator, oil pan etc.?

I currently have a 1991 Dx which is a salvaged title, i bought for like $1000 and probably have around another $1000 within a year timeframe. I have replaced the tranny with an L3, it has a replica mugen body kit painted white, earl scheib paint because when i bought it, it had like 5 differrent colors of primer on it and it looked horrible, has black inner housing projector headlights, replaced axles, has new tires, coil-overs(not sure what kind), pretty muched replaced except the engine, i just need opinions if it is worth it to spend anymore money by doing a swapped or should i just start all over with another ED or maybe get a DA that is NOT a slavaged title?

well, thats a good question, i came this far and invested that much time and money into it, i guess it would not be worth it if i am going to sell because of course i will not get all the money back that i put into it. Is there anybody else that has a salvaged ED that never hesitated to hook it up?

Just wanted to get opinions, because i know sometimes they say a salvaged car never runs the same again, but when i bought the car i made sure that there was no frame damage to the car, i may have to get a traction bar though because the stock traction bar looks a little crooked. By the way, does anybody know where i can get a sohc D15 vtec in Cali.?

Yep, nothing wrong with a salvaged title unless its salvaged due to wreckage. The car was stolen before I bought it so the kid could do some kind of insurance fraud. He was caught, his brother bought the car and sold it to me. I came up on it and have had no trouble hooking it up, registering or anything of that nature. - Darrell

The car was in a accident from the back and you could tell only the hatch and the bumper had to be replaced, but i did inspect the trailing arms and the frame to be sure everything was straight because we all know frame repairs cost a lot of money but i may have a aftermarket traction bar because the stock one looks crooked besides that everything is cool. I just bought a sohc D15b vtec the other day so i guess i'll ahead and keep it, by the way, does anybody know if there is a parts list for the sohc D15b vtec, like alternator, water pump, timing belt, etc.?

My concern would be only resale and if there is anything wrong with it your pumping money into a car that you knew would need to be fixed, I had a salvaged eclipse and i traded it cause if im gonna put alot of money into it, I want it to be worth as much as it looks.

Everyone knows that once you install a part on a car, that part has already lost value...but to put them on a salvage car and lose even more value, ouch!

But in the long run it all comes down to what you want...If you dont mind it be salvaged then do it, i think the only salvage worth fixin would be a theft recovery since its usually only stripped not wrecked.

Its not what other people think, its what you think and what you like that makes the difference

resale is kind of joke anyway when talkin about modified cars...you'll never get back what you put into it - and by never, i mean there are some exceptions
