Default disconnecting exhaust after headers/manifold

my mate is either talking **** or its true. he reckons that if you disconnect the b pipe or down pipe it will cause you to **** your motor up. eg. rod threw block and so on. does it make a difference if NA or FI.
someone hit me up with some info

are you talking about running an open header (eg no exhaust)? i hope you have ear muffs...

its not a biggy, alot of noise thats bout it, i dont think thats too much power.

nope, i will be fine with open header. Race prepped hondas run that and you can buy headers made to run wide open. N/A it won`t make a huge difference, but for FI it is very beneficial
