that does not help him at all. if your not going to say something useful, dont post.
well if it lacks acceleration, it could be bad fuel pump, clogged injectors maybe. a little more diagnostic info would help alot.

ok if you accellerate everthing goes smooth vtec engages at 5500 then a 6000 its starts sputtering like its redlining. Ive checked the timing belt, spark plugs, spark plug wires, fuel filter. COULD IT be a bad VTEC soleniod. VTEC does work though just the whole car starts acting up at 6000 so you have to shift its a wierd situation and very stressful any help is appreciated.
So why would it be a bad VTEC Solenoid, if VTEC is engaging smoothly? That doesn't make much sense to me...
Anyways, from what I'm hearing... This sounds like a fuel system problem. Pop your injectors out (please make sure your engine is off
) and see if any of them are leaking, check their O-Rings, seals, connection to the EFI Harness, etc.
But this sounds weird to me... It runs absolutely fine until 6,000RPM?
Could it be mechanical? Valvetrain related?
... Yea, maybe this question should be answered by someone who knows for sure.
Bump for better advice.

Wow, very newbish, but its aight, we were all there once.
Check your oil, like they've been saying, check Cap and rotor on your distributor, spark plugs, wires. Then, go for a good tune up.

I had an almost similar sistuation. I thought it was my fuel pump, my injectors...almost gave up my honda cause of all the frustrations. I found out that it was my Cat, it blew on me and the honey comb filter pieces were stuck in my exhaust. maybe you should check your cat. a methood of doing it is, bang your cattie with a plastic hammer and see if you hear clunks moving around. that can be the case. good luck man
