I ve been thinking about buying a different head . Are my only options to buy a long block from lets say hmotors or buy the head from a junkyard. Ive searched the web and here and havent found a place that sells just the head . i know i might be able to find one in the classifieds here , but i dont really want to buy from a private seller if i dont have to. Im just trying to get good ideas on prices and what parts i can get . Im undecided on a setup trying to figure it out . thanks for the help

Dude, there are dozens of DOHC VTEC heads for sale in our classifieds area. I guarantee you can find one in there man. BTW, I must have my mind in the gutter because your thread title cracked me up for a second...

 

You might find a shop that will part out just the head, but they'll probably overcharge you.

 

lol was waiting for someone to comment on that . I know i can find one there , guess thats what ill do , i just didnt really want to take the chance of gettin scammed , i was hoping there was a business online but thanks for the replies though .

You can always do what I do when buying things from our classifieds: only consider items that you can go see in person. I do not trust people either, that is why I mainly look at things that are within a couple hours driving distance, so that I can go see the stuff personally first.
