Default Speedo jumps from 40-50

I have a stock 2001 Accord V6 and for the past month the speedometer appears to stick at 42 MPH and then jumps to 50 MPH. This happens everytime I pass 40 and also when slowing down below 50, it pauses then jumps to 42. Car only has 40k and other then that speed range all is well. Any ideas?

If it does that religiously, i would say that maybe your speedo is going south and hanging on those particular numbers. Take it appart and have a looksy.

See what happens when Ford makes a Spedo for a Honda? Also found out that according to Honda that if the mileage backlight goes out you need to replace the whole gauge cluster. Go Ford!
