Anyone running the Comptech 22mm sway/tie??
Thinking about getting these in the near future...i used to have a Progress 22mm rear sway and loved it. I was just wondering if this was as good or better, and for those with them, how you like it and how is it holding up.
Any info would be appreciated. Thanks..

To answer your question we need more info.
What car do you have?
What is your suspension setup now?
What are your plans? (Drag, Roadrace, bling blinging the local cruise strip?)

Answer:
I can't compare it to the one you mentioned, but I'm 100% satisfied with mine and so is everyone else I know who has it.

Same as johng. Ive been running the bar for a good 6-7 months and love it. I can drive the car as hard as i like and not sit there and constantly pray my sub frame dosent tear. The billet alluminum tie/brace is a great idea. The adj. of the bar actually works too. Spend the money right the first time and be happy, its a quality piece that is about $100 more than any other sway, but it comes with a tie so it comes out about even.
I have the older non-adjustable version, and have been really happy with it. Install is a bit more complicated, due to the tie bar, but it's a real quality component and everything fits like OEM. No maintenance problems in the year or so I've had it.
While we're on the subject... Does anyone have a suggestion for the best place to buy one of these? ...somewhere under the $399.95 asking price?
thanks
thanks

Johng, don't you have a 5th gen car? How much mod. to use the Comptech?

Basically you need GSR LCA's and some nuts for the location above the inboard LCA mounting point. The GSR comes with nuts welded to a small plate in that location, the EG does not. (8mm if I remember correctly).
John is a better person to answer this question though as he installed mine while I was installing my seats, harness and swapping out my radiator
And he installed it in about 45 mins (the car was already on jackstands and the rear tires were off).As far as how it performs... fantastic!
In our event this weekend I had a bit of throttle lift oversteer when the tires were cold but other than that, it was planted. I will be happy to share the balance of my setup upon request.

So, if you want to put it on your 5g, do you buy the 'teg kit or the civic kit?
And could you be a little more specific on the "a few nuts and short bolts" list?
Also, where in the seattle area would you recommend getting them? (or mail-ordering them). Most hardware stores carry only non-metric stuff (I hate this country for that).

The Comptech bar for the Integra is the one you want for the 5th gen Civic. You'll only need 4, 8mm flange nuts with washers for the back of the sub-frame (remember, the Integra has these weld-nuts already). Otherwise, the bar comes with everything else you'll need.
Thanks Nash for the nut sizes

http://www.diabloautosports.com/prod...oducts_id=1351 Here's silver, also available with red. We are authorized Comptech Dealers.
Diablo is a bunch of good guys, ordered my Yellows from them. However, they dont have the best prices on comptech goodies. Contact Dean at http://www.speeddistributors.com/ and tell him Jacob sent you. If you live outside of FL, he should be able to get it to your door for $350. Good luck.
