Default AP2 headlight swap

Performed a search and actually couldn't find anything... sure it's been covered though.

What type of modification is needed to swap the 04+ headlights into an 01' ?

Different bulb harnesses? I'm probably going to swap mine out because my passenger's side headlight housing is pretty fogged up and I'd almost rather just go with the ap2 lights while I'm at it.

Has anyone on here swapped them out? And if so, is it worth it or should i just buy another ap1 headlight housing and call it a day?

you have to do some modification to the wiring harness and get the smaller ballasts so that the headlights will fit. you can use ap1 ballasts, but you need to modify them so that they fit the ap2 lights.

just the ballast. you have to use the 04's...but if your doing the swap, you can just modify the ap1 ballast to work. i think the ap1 ones are smaller. i can't remember though...

the ballasts at honda are like $500 and the bulbs themselves are $200-$210 depending on which dealership you go to
